Your new puppy is the newest member of your family. The Puppy just like any other baby is a commitment and like all baby’s they need love, nurturing, patience, training, boundaries, all with a little discipline. Puppies as well as any other animal have feelings and unconditional love to give and should not be ignored or thrown out after the newness wears off. Children need to be taught to be nice to the new baby and how to treat the newest family member. Children don’t just know how to behave around animals, they need to be taught. Make sure you can provide good food, shelter, veterinarian care when needed and that you understand the value that any well behaved pet can be to a family.
